O’Brien Lake is just 10 miles north of Woodrum lake and offers many of the same amazing benefits. However, if you find the lack of luxury of Woodrum unappealing, Woodrum has more traffic and is more easily accessible.

Summersville Lake is another massive 2,700 acre lake that offers a beautiful trip. The shores of the lake offer sandy beaches and also many majestic cliffs. The south end of the lake, near the dam, is prime for lure fishing. Being the deepest part of the lake it houses many different types of fish but is most notable for the schools of Bass that accompany the area.

Moncove Lake is a very shallow lake and small at only 144 acres. Being as it doesn’t look like much more than a grassy pond to some, few fishermen accompany this lake.
